It’s Monday and it’s Gabriel’s tenth month birthday!  We cannot believe how much progress he’s made in just over one month.  We are confident that he will catch up developmentally and physically in no time.  He is a happy baby and even happier when there’s music playing.

It was a fun session with Gabriel today.  He was so happy to see us and was all smiles and giggles.  One of things that we were concerned about when we go back home was how he would react on the trip.  Thanks to his Tito DohDoh and Tita Marissa, he got a Baby Bjorn.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with this device, it is a carrier/harness which allows you to carry a baby hands free.  I thought for sure that Gabriel would be screaming the moment we put him in this thing, but he absolutely loved it.  He was laughing and wiggling his legs non-stop.  This is a very positive sign when we transport him…

Gabriel’s habit of grinding his teeth has been getting worse.  It’s gotten so bad that you can hear him grinding it from ten feet away.  We’ve tried giving him a teether, teething biscuits, and our fingers, but nothing seems to be stopping his grinding.  Anyone have any tips to stop the grinding?  Let us know because we don’t think his dentist will be too happy about this.

Paka-paka!

Gen – Nice blister!!

You guys allowed to walk Gabe outside in like the back yard or something so he actually gets the feeling of “leaving” the orphange?

Michelle – get the robots out from joel’s case – might stop Gabe’s teeth grinding – he can chew on Optimus Prime’s rear wheel . . .

Gabe isnt grinding his teeth, he is SHARPENING them!!!
He is gonna be tearing into steaks soon! or tearing into those robots hahahahah!
One of my co-workers said that their child was going through a rough teething stage and she would give hom those liquid-gel plastic ring things, but stick them in the freezer first. she said her son like to chew on it and the cooling effect was soothing for him.

thats a biiiiig blister, might be time to lance and bandage that thing. if that thing gets any bigger, might have to name it Gabriel II :) heheheh

It’s Moreezah signed in as DOH.

I read on YgoY.com that the grinding can be caused by tension, or it can be a newfound discovery; Gabe might just enjoy the sensation and sound of it.

If it’s caused by tension, it might help to do physical activities to release that tension, like banging toys on Daddy’s head or something. Here’s a link to that info:

baby bjorn ROCKS! it is seriously the best baby carrier around!!! camille absolutely loved the baby carrier. since i was all alone after we got her out from the orphanage until we went home, she practically lived in that thing so i could be hands free. we walked everywhere and she loved being up and able to see what was going on. what a great invention! :)

that pic of him with he spoon clenched in his teeth is a keeper! that is so funny!

does he have some new teeth? each time both my girls got new teeth, they woudl grind them. i think it was just a new sensation/novelty kinda thing. once they got used to the new teeth, the grinding stopped…and my skin stopped crawling! i hate that sound!!

i wouldn’t worry about the grinding just yet, but let me tell you what can cause some serious teeth damage…thumb sucking!!!!!!!!!! oh the bills i see in our future to fix them are already causing me nightmares…………
